Updates about new features, improvements and fixes

  1. Mar 3 2026 Updates

    1. Task Transfer

Transfer all tasks from one assignee to another directly from the firm level — with the option to include future recurring tasks. Ideal for when a team member is transitioning out.

    2. Clearing Accounts Review – Now Includes Payroll Clearing

Clearing Accounts Review now supports payroll clearing accounts alongside merchant/POS. Xenett automatically matches transactions, identifies what's clearing in the next period, and flags unmatched items — so you always know exactly what makes up your ending balance.

  2. Fab 16 2026 Updates

    1. Duplicate Entries – Year-to-Date (YTD) View

A new configuration in the Duplicate Entries review point now shows transactions YTD, helping you easily identify missed or rolling-forward duplicates from prior months.

    2. Enhanced Task Creation Experience

Create tasks faster with a simplified, search-driven workflow that auto-suggests Review Points and GL accounts as you type, while also allowing quick creation of custom review points without switching between tabs.

    3. 1099 Threshold Limit Update

The 1099 threshold limit has been updated in line with the latest changes effective from 2026, helping you track vendors more accurately and stay compliant with year-end reporting requirements.

    4. Two-Factor Authentication (Authenticator App)

We’ve introduced an additional 2FA method using authenticator apps (e.g., Google or Microsoft Authenticator), giving you a more reliable way to securely log in even if email OTPs are delayed or not received.

  3. Dec 22 2025 Updates

    Entry Checklist Review Point

A new review point that helps you stay on top of recurring journal entries by comparing expected entries with actual postings. You can quickly identify missing or extra entries and seamlessly switch to trend analysis for deeper visibility into patterns over time.

    Clearing Account Review Point

A new review point designed specifically for clearing accounts. Transactions are automatically grouped into opening differences, next-month clearings, and unmatched transactions, making it easier to identify issues and resolve balances efficiently.

    Centralized Login (SSO)

Xenett now supports centralized login using Google or Microsoft accounts. This enables secure, single sign-on access across your firm, reducing login friction while maintaining strong security controls.

    Task Recurrence Preview

Task recurrence has been enhanced with a preview option. You can now set a start date for one-time project tasks and instantly view upcoming recurrences, giving you clearer visibility into future task schedules before they’re created.

  4. Nov 24 2025 Updates

    New Feature

Review Payroll Expense – New Review Point

A new review point that automates payroll accrual tracking. By mapping your Accrual and Expense accounts, Xenett will detect payroll-related journal entries from QuickBooks or Xero and generate the required monthly accrual and reversal entries automatically.

Custom Fields – New 1099 Tab

Custom Fields has been expanded with a dedicated 1099 Fields tab. You can now manage fields specific to the 1099 module, use the new yearly reset option, and quickly filter or export the data you need without affecting your main client properties.

    Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Client Portal now supports email-based OTP verification. Each login requires a one-time password sent to the user’s email, adding an extra layer of security. Devices verified once remain trusted for 30 days, ensuring smooth ongoing access.

Manage User – New Permissions Tab

A new Permissions tab allows you to control staff access to key modules. You can now enable or restrict visibility of the Template Module and the ability to edit Client Properties for each user, helping you fine-tune internal access based on roles.

Time Tracking – Manual Entry & Auto Timer

Time Tracking now offers flexible logging through manual time entry or an automatic timer. Users can record duration or start–end time, or run a live timer that continues until stopped and automatically adds the entry to the Time Log.
