It would be great to be able to Archive clients that we are no longer engaged with, so that we don't have to pay for them but at the least, all the communications and the To-do's are saved.

A way to send or share 1099 vendor list with clients for approval
i have to export 1099 vendor list to send to client for approval. Would be nice to be able to share in client portal or a shareable link for client approval/feedback

Ability to set auto reminders with a due date
I mentioned this is last month's call but figured I'd put it here also. I'm currently using Content Snare for statement requests because it allows me to set a due date for the client to respond by. It also has a series of emails that sends out on a schedule that says things like: Your accountant needs some info to finish your previous month's bookkeeping. This is due in 7 daysYour due date is approaching in 2 daysYour due date is hereYour information request is late This allows me to send the request and know the reminders will be set at a predetermined interval. I'd like to get rid of Content Snare and have all my requests in one spot (Xenett)

Permissions for client portal users (Visibility for non-owner users)
It would be helpful to be able to do a few things: Mass edit questions (I added a new client user and had to manually edit all of my questions to include or exclude her, as well as making them private so it worked right) I would like to set questions to private by default. That way if we have client user changes it is easier to accomodate. I would like to set client users to have default permissions. For example, the new user only needs access to specific questions. If she was disabled by default I could manually add her to the ones she has the right to view, instead of having to disable her from most of them. In order to modify resolved questions, I had to reopen them. This was an issue because the new user didn't need access to most of the older resolved questions, but there were 119 questions on her "responded" tab that were resolved on my end. So to hide them from her I had to reopen them, make the changes, then resolve again. Or just delete entirely.

Hi Xenett, We want for Xennett's "Financial Review" screen to be accessible by our clients in the client portal. During the month-end close process, we reconcile/substantiate each balance sheet account. Then we upload supporting documentation to every Balance Sheet account. Then we write notes to the client if applicable, about every Balance Sheet account. We want our client to see all of this. Every account balance, every uploaded supporting doc, every note. And we want them to be able to add their own comments. We do not need the other screens available on the client portal; we are just waiting until this functionality is available. We have a few trusted clients that we are inviting as an accountant user to log in like us just so that they can navigate to the "Financial Review" screen to access this info. We need this in the portal instead. We asked Hardick about this at Scaling New Heights and he said it is coming out by end of year. Can you please confirm? Thank you! Laura

Client Requests - Add Required Fields
When sending client requests (for transactions), we often need them to fill out certain fields - e.g. vendor name, class, description. In order to be able to use this feature for our company, we would need to be able to make certain fields as required, meaning the client couldn't submit/respond back to us without selecting something there. Without this, we'd constantly be sending transactions back to clients who forgot. This is something Uncat enables, which is what we use currently.

Request consent to deliver 1099 via email
when you send a request for W9 ask for consent (optional) to send 1099 via email via check box or something like that since this is an IRS requirement for sending 1099s via email

Create Client Tasks from Emails
We need to be able to create tasks from emails. When a client emails asking for something to be done, instead of manually creating that in Xenett, we want to auto create the task from the email.

Task section reports: Add Columns for Amount Balances & Files
When we pull a report from the Tasks section in Xenett, we can see the notes, but not the balances. It would be really helpful if the balances were included, since that would make the notes easier to understand. Right now, we have to pull extra reports just to see the balances.It would also be great to have a column in the Files section that shows whether a file is attached or not, so we can quickly tell if there’s supporting documentation for a balance.

Bulk Apply & Resolve
When in the Client (Responded) Transactional Questions within the portal, if going to change the Name or Account, you can't apply and resolve. For example, we put some transactions to Waiting on Client so that we can ask things like "What is the purpose of this transaction," or "What is the name of this vendor/client"? Let's say I grab multiple to change the account to personal, and then just press resolve, it'll all go back to uncategorized entries in the project. Being able to "apply & resolve" would be extremely helpful and time saving. Also it would be super helpful to be able to bulk grab transactions from one button, not individually clicking each one like we do now. As stated we use the same type question for most transactions to keep it similar and not confusing for us or the client, but that groups our transactions depending on what question were asked (screenshot attached). With that being said, there's only a single bulk grab option (right next to Date/Type), but that selects every single transaction, no matter the question group. Often a certain group of questions will all be categorized to the same account, so being able to select per group would be nice.

Is there any way for clients to reopen transaction question responses or for general questions answered?

Custom Client Notifications
We are finally moving all of our clients over to the portal after setting up the month-end close process. One thing that we are trying to work around is notification settings. We want a way to set up more instant notifications for client questions submitted or responses that may come through, but we also want to differentiate between accountant questions and client questions for those notification settings. Are push notifications also going to be a thing at some point?

Highlight on clickable field or requested field on Client portal
The issue is that sometimes the client gets confused about which field they need to update, especially when coding for Sales Receipts. We've received many tickets from the team saying they can't choose the account for a Sales Receipt, but in reality, they need to select the product/service. It would be helpful if you could highlight the clickable field that the client needs to choose. For example, when we ask the client for the account and class, the system should highlight the Account and Class fields for Deposits and Expenses, and highlight the Product/Service field for Sales Receipts.

Receipt Management
Anyone who manages receipts for clients would benefit rather than having to use hubdoc or a similar service. If the clients could easily upload them into their portal, they could be stored in a receipt folder where we could add tags to them and attach them to a corresponding expense.
