  1. Have Journal Entries pull into the 1099 portal

    Problem: o Xenett does not recognize transaction type: Journal Entry. o When we perform the 1099 review (on a quarterly basis) none of the contractor payments from payroll JEs appear in Xenett’s reporting. o To compensate, staff must: . Download Transactions details data to Excel . Build pivot tables to isolate contractor payments . Manual update spreadsheets for review Impact: • Increased manual workload: Quarterly 1099 reviews require downloading payroll JEs, pivoting, and reconciling outside of Xenett. • Consistency risk: Every quarter, a new Excel file is created for the review. This makes the process vulnerable to differences from file to file and preparer to preparer (filters, formulas, formatting). • Higher error risk: Manual pivot tables and spreadsheet updates raise the chance of missed or duplicated transactions. • Compliance risk: Excluded contractor payments could cause underreporting on 1099s, exposing clients to IRS penalties. • Inefficiency: Reviews take longer and depend heavily on staff Excel skills, reducing scalability.

  2. Have the status automatically switch to "In Progress" when work starts on a monthly close

    When someone starts working on a monthly close, have the status automatically switch to "In Progress". Thanks

  3. Clear off findings in Financials Review tab

    Currently if Xenett suggest findings in Financials Review tab there isn't a way to clear off the findings if the suggestion is not correct. Maybe a check mark similar to the review points tab to tell it that the findings are okay as is.

  4. The ability to add client's note to the transaction memo in bulk

    At present, the client's comments can be added to the transaction memo directly in QuickBooks individually but the option to add them in bulk will be great.

    Accountants frequently receive requests via email creating duplicate work to incorporate those requests into the task management portion of Xenett.

  6. Receipt Management

    Anyone who manages receipts for clients would benefit rather than having to use hubdoc or a similar service. If the clients could easily upload them into their portal, they could be stored in a receipt folder where we could add tags to them and attach them to a corresponding expense.

  7. Create Tie Out WorkBook

    Utilize the Review Checklist to build out a Tie Out Workbook. Balance Sheet followed by reference tabs for each line item with proof documents. Example - bank & credit card stmts, lease documents for security deposit receivable, fixed asset purchase docs, loan docs, etc. Basically each line item links to a subsequent tab with the relevant proof that ties out. Followed by P&L with related tabs and then General Ledger at the end. Also P&L by Class/Location, Stmt of Cash Flows, KPI Dashboard page. A living document that rolls each month to house all kinds of related information, documents, etc. Basically it's auditable and 100% ready for tax.

  8. Desktop version for xenett with real-time pop up notifications

    Sometimes email notifications have delay, We noticed that when someone messages us through the portal we won't get notified until 30 mins - 1 hr later. Also, there is no sound when notification comes through. Sometimes we open lots of windows that it's hard to find the xenett website. I suggest there is an option to download desktop app for windows/mac so we can easily pin the xenett app in the taskbar and will also have option to get notification with sound like a ding or something and there is also an option to mute it. It would also be helpful to see the number of notifications if notification is enabled in the desktop app something like slack, please see attached screenshot. Thanks!

  9. AI Review automatically runs full sync for accuracy assurance.

    It would be nice if I press the button to run the AI review, since the accuracy depends on a full sync being done that it will automatically trigger the sync

  10. Users should have ability to manipulate notes and comments on an account, even from another user

    It would be good if a user on a client file could archive or hide old comments and notes on each account, even if someone else wrote them.

  11. A way to get rid of mentions/resolved chats after they are completed.

    We should be able to have a way to clear mentions or resolved chats after they are completed. Mentions stay in the mention part forever. Those need a way to get rid of them. The resolved chats still show up on that comment line. They need to go away or STAY with that project when it is completed.

  12. Calendar View for To-Do Items

    In addition to the list, we'd like to be able to view a calendar view of the items and maybe able to drag them to different days right from there. Is that something Xenett could do?

  13. Intercompany Balance Checks

    We have multiple related companies that have inter-company balances (due to/due from). It would be really great to have a screen where we could see the accounts side by side for each client. For example, we'd see the "Due To" from one set of books next to the "Due From" from the other company books. All the info should already be in Xenett since both companies are linked.

  14. Trial Balance report

    I would like to suggest to have a Review of the Trial balance - balance sheet accounts to make sure it matches with the supporting docs. e.g. Cash in bank will match the reconciliation report or AR should match the subsidiary ledger etc.

  15. Client portal improvements

    It would be great to make the following improvements in client portal: Have an upload file tab where they can drag and drop files to share with the accountant. Enable/disable the "private" question option at the client level instead of every transaction so that routing credit card questions to specific users is more efficient and to avoid tagging the wrong person each time. Have an option to hide client response and resolved questions on client portal. Make the name of who posted the question just initials and move below the "assigned to" box so that it doesn't take so much space. For Non-transactional questions move the box to the same row as the question so it doesn't take so much space.
